US: Updates From Live Nation Concerts, the Gabriel South Beach Hotel, the State Fair of Texas and More

NATIONAL: Live Nation Concerts has announced the promotion of Jenifer Smith to head of urban tour marketing and strategy. In this position, she will lead the urban tour marketing team, supporting all marketing efforts for its roster of R&B and hip-hop tours within the concerts division. Prior to joining Live Nation two years ago, Smith was a tour marketer at AEG Presents and Goldenvoice.

ARLINGTON, VA: IMN Solutions, a global, full-service association and event management company, has announced three additions to its staff. Chanel Ricks has joined as account director; Aesha Beattle will take on the role of senior account manager, event operations; and Morgan Lucchese is the new account manager. 

CHICAGO: Oktoberfest is back at The Berghoff Restaurant and Adams Street Brewery now through Oct. 9. The monthlong event includes festive decor, traditional Märzenbier, food and live music Thursdays and Fridays from 4-7 p.m. at the bar.

DALLAS/FORT WORTH: The State Fair of Texas returns to Dallas’s Fair Park from Sept. 24 to Oct. 17 after being canceled in 2020. Tickets for the fair range from $15-$25 and include access to classic fair foods, carnival rides, interactions with farm animals, live music, cooking demos and more.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: The Gabriel South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton, will open in Miami Beach this fall. This property on Ocean Drive has 132 guest rooms and suites and two pools, including a glass-bottom pool on the roof overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel also boasts two new destination restaurants, Meet Dalia and Meet Mia, by INK Entertainment.
