NATIONAL: Live Nation Concerts has announced the promotion of Jenifer Smith to head of urban tour marketing and strategy. In this position, she will lead the urban tour marketing team, supporting all marketing efforts for its roster of R&B and hip-hop tours within the concerts division. Prior to joining Live Nation two years ago, Jenifer was a tour marketer at AEG Presents and Goldenvoice.
EDMONTON: Dining in the Dark, a unique dining series where guests are blindfolded in an attempt to heighten their sense of taste and smell, is coming to Edmonton for four nights in October. Tickets to the experience, which will take place at The Foundry Room and feature menus of either Thai or Creole cuisine, start at $80.

Le Germain Hotel Montréal has unveiled a unique facade as part of a city-wide project collaboration with the urban art festival Mural. Created by Canadian artist Michelle Hoogveld, the eye-catching facade uses textile-like blockings of color across 171 feet of the property. The hotel recently reopened after extensive renovations.
TORONTO: PumpkinFest Toronto is back From Oct. 9-11 at Downsview Park. The annual family-friendly event will include a giant pumpkin patch, games, children’s rides, an inflatable corn maze and various food selections. Masks will be mandatory on rides and while playing games or ordering food.
