NATIONAL: Event experience company Bizzabo has acquired Israeli virtual event platform TeeVid. Through the new partnership, Bizzabo will now offer a full video production suite, which will allow planners to create content and video for attendees and partners that blends into a seamless TV-like experience. It’s Bizzabo's third acquisition in five months, following previously announced team-ups with Whalebone and x.ai.
CLEVELAND: Trade show exhibit company The Rogers Company has acquired Lucarelli Designs and Displays. The two Cleveland-based companies offer full-service displays and event production, with a combined 117 years in business. The Rogers Company currently owns and operates more than 165,000 square feet of storage and fabrication space in Mentor, Ohio, and Las Vegas.
DENVER: This week marked the opening of Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver, a 264-room property. The hotel has 2,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, an expansive rooftop and terrace with city views, and a locally owned in-house restaurant called Apple Blossom. It’s located within walking distance of the Colorado Convention Center, Denver Center for the Performing Arts and other top attractions.
LAS VEGAS: Caesars Entertainment Inc. has appointed Sandra Douglass Morgan to its board of directors, effective Nov. 7. Morgan, an attorney, is the past chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control board and the first African-American to serve as chair. With the new addition, Caesars Entertainment's board of directors will grow to 10 members.
NEW YORK: The East Hampton Historical Society’s 2021 House & Garden Tour, showcasing examples of historical and modern architecture in the Hamptons, takes place Nov. 27. Now in its 36th year, the annual event will feature five houses and kick off with a cocktail party the night before at the historic Maidstone Club.
