NATIONAL: The SEARCH Foundation has announced its incoming board of directors for 2022, which includes chairwoman Kate Patay of Patay Consulting, vice chair Patrick McMichael of Denon & Doyle, treasurer Larry Green of International Event Products, secretary David Lombardo of Lombardo’s and executive advisor Joann Roth-Oseary of Someone’s in the Kitchen, along with a variety of directors from across the event industry. The SEARCH Foundation exists to assist event, meeting, catering and hospitality professionals faced with a crisis.

Live Nation has expanded its concerts team by hiring Jay Byrd as the newest global tour promoter. In his new role, Jay will be responsible for several existing tours with top artists like Lil Baby, A$AP Rocky, Logic and more. Byrd will also be responsible for building new relationships with artists and booking tours across North America as well as major international tours around the world.

LAS VEGAS: Stations Casino has announced the return of its summer internship program, which allows students real-world, paid experience working in the hospitality and gaming industry. Interns gain experience in the fields of marketing, social media and PR, hotel management, human resources, casino operations, culinary operations and finance. The 12-week program includes housing at Red Rock Casino, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station or Palace Station.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Nationally touring seltzer festival Seltzerland is coming to Miami’s Costa Del Sol Golf Club on Nov. 6. The immersive experience will feature over 100 unique hard seltzers, along with food, Seltzer-themed goodies and photo ops. Recognizable brands like Mike's Hard Lemonade, Vizzy, Fireball + 99, Bacardi, Buzzballz, Sparkling Iced Spiked and Smirnoff Ice Spiked will all be participating in the one-day experience.

NEW YORK: Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research’s Young Professionals Committee will host its fall gala on Nov. 5. The event will take place at the Classic Car Club Manhattan and feature a racing experience with a state-of-the-art simulator (which will also be up for auction). The event, which will help fund the foundation's music therapy programs and cancer research, will be hosted by reality TV star Dale Moss and honor the Brock Pierce Foundation.
