For Black History Month in February, the company will offer experiences centered around race, culture and the Black experience; future experiences will center around Women’s History Month in March, Mental Health Awareness Month in May, AAPI Heritage Month in May, and Pride Month in June.

EDMONTON: The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) is teaming up with Do North Events and the city of Edmonton for the inaugural POT Canadian Open, which is slated to take place July 23-24. Both professional and age-group athletes will have the chance to swim, bike and run a new 100-kilometer course through Edmonton’s River Valley. Registration opened this week.
TORONTO: TCS is the new title sponsor and tech partner of the Toronto Waterfront Marathon from 2022-2026, taking over from previous sponsor Scotiabank. Through the partnership, the company hopes to introduce a new official race app that will offer a carbon footprint calculator for attendees to track and offset their impact on the environment when attending the race. The marathon will take place Oct. 16; registration opened Jan. 25.
VANCOUVER: Organizers of the Vancouver Mural Festival will once again host the VMF Winter Arts event. Running from Feb. 11-27, the free public event essentially turns downtown Vancouver into an open-air art gallery, complete with AR-enabled art, light installations and live performances presented in a COVID-safe way. New this year will be Winter Arts Hub, a central outdoor space with food, drinks, art and performances.
