CALGARY: The Wedding Fair will hold a bridal show for exhibitors and brides on March 27 at the BMO Centre in Stampede Park. The fair will allow guests to compare, taste, touch and see what the area's top wedding specialists have to offer. An added touch? Guests will also experience a professionally choreographed fashion show displaying the latest wedding fashions.
TORONTO: Toronto Beaches Lions Club is hosting the 56th annual Beaches Easter Parade and Digital Easter Egg Hunt from April 15-17. Weekend activities include what's billed as Canada’s largest and oldest Easter parade, taking place April 17, and the Good Friday digital Easter egg hunt, taking place April 15. Participants will decipher clues that will lead to 12 different locations across the beach. Once the Easter egg hunt is completed, participants will receive instructions guiding them to a secret location to meet the Easter Bunny and get an Easter treat.
VANCOUVER: Fairmont Pacific Rim executive chef Damon Campbell is hosting the 2022 Hot Chefs & Cool Jazz Gala, in support of Junior Culinary Team Canada, on April 22. The event will feature top culinary talent from the Vancouver and Kelowna areas, providing exclusive dishes specifically designed for the event. Each chef will be paired with a member of Junior Culinary Team Canada or Culinary Team BC, and will cook right in front of guests in the Star Sapphire Ballroom at Fairmont Pacific Rim.
"For All Time: The Shakespeare FIRST FOLIO" is on display at the Vancouver Art Gallery now through April 10. The exhibit, which recently got extended, shows the author's extremely rare first book, published in 1623. It contains 36 of Shakespeare’s 38 known plays, and is displayed along with three later folios. It is the first time all four have been displayed in Vancouver.
