CANADA: Niagara Falls Music Live, a Taco Fest in Toronto, Vancouver's New Premium Butchery and More

NIAGARA FALLS: Niagara Falls Tourism, in partnership with the Tourism Partnership of Niagara, announced its third Niagara Falls Music Live series will be held June 9-11. Designed to celebrate live music, there will be over 50 live performances by local talent at 20-plus venues around the Niagara Falls area. More details on the three-day event will be released in the coming weeks.

TORONTO: North by Northeast (NXNE) Music Festival is set to take place June 14-19, featuring more than 300 artists, including The Lumineers, Daniel Caesar, Lizzo, Post Malone and more. A preview of the roster will be announced on May 4, and passes for the six-day music extravaganza are now on sale on NXNE's website, starting at $10 for a single ticket to one show or $20 for a full festival pass and admission to any show.

Taco Fest, presented by TasteToronto, is slated to return to Ontario Place June 17-19. Over the course of three days, more than 100 varieties of tacos will be offered for guests to sample and enjoy—from traditional, soft tacos to Southeast Asian-inspired pad Thai tacos, vegan chorizo tacos and more. There will also be a variety of Mexican desserts, not to mention tequila, mariachi bands and salsa dancing. Tickets are available on Taco Fest's website starting at $12.50.

VANCOUVER: Museum of North Vancouver (MONOVA) opened in Vancouver at the end of 2021 to showcase the culture and history of the community through interactive displays, education programs, tributes and more, plus more than 9,000 artifacts. MONOVA is now also hosting a variety of free events, including a film screening of Honor Thy Mother on May 5, a nature walk through Lynn Valley on Mary 7, theatrical shows and more.

A premium butcher shop, Luigi & Sons, debuted in Yaletown in mid-April and features cuts of truffle sausage, wagyu beef tallow, chicken and more, plus a dry-aged program and take-out menu courtesy of executive chef Andrew Richardson and his team. Menu highlights include a niçoise salad, prime rib sandwich and house-made compound butters, including garlic, mushroom and blue cheese. The butchery is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wed.-Sun.
