US: Hubilo’s New Senior Vice President of Market Strategy, a Nightclub Pop-Up in Miami, a New York Hotel’s Sustainability Initiative and More

GLOBAL: Hubilo Technologies Inc.—a global leader in virtual, hybrid and live event management technology—announced Sophie Ahmed has been appointed as the senior vice president of market strategy. Ahmed brings more than 20 years of experience in the media and events industry to the role, having led global events for brands such as Informa, Reed Exhibitions, Cannes Lions and Money 20/20. Most recently, Ahmed was the CEO and co-founder of the Virtual Events Institute (VEI), a platform designed to bring virtual and hybrid communities together to share best practices and spark innovation.

NATIONAL: Jason Brown, the chief marketing officer of live video shopping company NTWRK, has been named on Forbes’ inaugural “Top 50 Entrepreneurial CMOs” list. The list is designed to celebrate individuals who have an inspired approach to building the brands and businesses they represent. Brown was honored due to his commitment in using livestreaming to drive commerce, using an entrepreneurial-minded approach to testing, and learning about new products. Brown has partnered with a slew of star-studded creators, including the likes of Billie Eilish, LeBron James, Ben Baller and more.

MIAMI: Nebula, a nightclub in New York City, is heading to Miami to host a four-day pop-up May 5-9 to coincide with the city’s F1 racing event, taking place May 8. The nightlife experience will be part of Racing Fan Fest in Wynwood, an activation presented by Swarm and Us Weekly, and will feature a merch store, cocktails from partner E11EVEN Vodka, VR racing simulators courtesy of AT&T, Nebula’s nightly takeover with a performance by DJ Alesso, and more. All activities are free, and aspiring attendees can register via Eventbrite.

NEW YORK: Direct-to-consumer, plant-based, flash-frozen meal delivery service Mosaic will open its first pop-up retail space in Brooklyn on May 20. Dubbed Mosaic Foods Market, guests will be able to purchase the health-conscious, convenient meals on-site, and the first 100 customers will receive a free, Mosaic Foods Market-branded reusable tote and complimentary smoothie, valued at $12. Freezers will feature more than 70 products for attendees to shop from and sample. There will also be cooking demos, giveaways and merch available for purchase. The market will be open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.

Luxury hospitality solution Moliving has announced a partnership with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and businesses give back to the environment. By entering into the partnership, which was designed to increase sustainability, Moliving aims to further its mission of protecting the environment by planting one tree for every reservation booked at any of its luxury eco-resorts. The initiative will kick off with the opening of Hurley House, Moliving’s flagship hotel in New York’s Hudson Valley slated to open later this spring. The brand hopes to expand rapidly with various locations set to open throughout the East Coast throughout 2023.
