US: Dance for Life 2022, Kendra Scott's Fundraising Event in Illinois, Florida's TradeWinds Islands Resorts Gets an Upgrade, and More

CHICAGO: Chicago Dancers United (CDU) announced its 31st annual fundraiser, Dance for Life 2022, which will be held on Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Auditorium Theatre. The event will be followed by an after-party at Venue SIX10, all in effort to raise money for The Dancers’ Fund, which provides Chicago dance industry professionals with financial support for preventative health care and critical medical needs. Presale tickets will be available May 23-June 5, and general sale tickets, available as of June 6, will be $500 for the performance and after-party, or $25-$125 to attend the performance only.

NEW YORK: Following its grand opening in November, cocktail bar and lounge Nina’s x Liquid Lab, located in the NoMo SoHo hotel in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood, unveiled a mural painted by local artist Lia Ali. Designed to celebrate spring, the mural features a colorful display of flowers representing energy, harmony, and emotion, with lifelike textures that altogether makes for the perfect photo-op moment. 

SAN ANTONIO, TX.: Luxury hotel Omni La MansiĂłn del Rio and Mokara Hotel & Spa, a retreat along San Antonio's famed River Walk, have announced chef Andres Farias as the new executive chef. Chef Farias comes from a highly esteemed background, with nearly 20 years of experience working at hotels and restaurants such as Trump Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels, and Marriott International. In the new role, chef Farias will shape the dining experience in the hotels' on-site restaurants: El Colegio, Ostra, La MansiĂłn Pool Bar, and Rooftop Cafe. Additionally, he will provide guests with memorable food experiences during events, meetings, and in-room dining.

SHOKIE, ILL.: The Kendra Scott location at Westfield Old Orchard Mall in Skokie will be hosting an in-store event on May 21 from 1-3 p.m. Drinks and treats will be served while guests shop from the store's fine jewelry selection, and 20 percent of all proceeds from in-store purchases will be donated to the Lupus Society of Illinois. 

ST. PETE BEACH, FLA.: TradeWinds Islands Resorts—the Island Grand and RumFIsh Beach Resort—has added 141 guest rooms, along with a zip line that leads directly to the beach, dubbed the "Zing Ray Zip," and a new Mexican restaurant, Bermudas Beachside Cantina. Other upgrades to the property include two new pools, a cover spa, and a beachfront bar. More renovations will follow this summer as the resort continues to expand. With the most recent revitalization, TradeWinds Island Resorts now boasts a total of 899 total guest rooms with sweeping views of the Gulf.
