US: Horseshoe Hammond Named One of the Best Workplaces, the 100th Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine Season, the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival Announces Special Screenings, and More

NATIONAL: Emerald Holding, Inc., a California-based company that organizes B2B trade shows, has announced the creation of Emerald Xcelerator—a new division dedicated to launching dynamic brands that curate communities through live and virtual experiences. Emerald Xcelerator will strengthen the company’s diverse portfolio, which already includes more than 150 brands and services across events, media, content, market intelligence, lead generation, and digital transactional solutions.

Hearst Magazines’ Cosmopolitan has teamed up with Digitalundivided, a nonprofit with a mission to create more economic opportunities for Latina and Black female entrepreneurs, to launch "The New C-Suite." Through the new program, Cosmo will welcome 10 businesses into The New C-Suite—a program open to women of color who have founded and operate their own businesses—for the second season. Designed to shape the future of entrepreneurship, women can now apply to become a 2022 New C-Suite honoree via Cosmo’s website. Chosen honorees will be featured in a Cosmopolitan print magazine feature, appear on the magazine’s social media accounts, be featured panelists at Digitalundivided’s upcoming summit, and more.

HAMMOND, IND.: The Horseshoe Hammond has been ranked fourth out of 125 in the 2022 Best Places to Work by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Located 20 minutes outside of Chicago, this is the 12th consecutive year that the casino has landed a spot on the list. The Horseshoe Hammond currently has 1,150 team members and works under the mantra “together we win,” in an environment that promotes diversity and values a work-life balance. And in 2021, the workplace donated more than $100,000 to local charities, with team members clocking over 2,500 volunteer hours.

LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association has announced menu details for the 2022 Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine Season, which kicks off with a performance by Gwen Stefani, dubbed “Opening Night at the Bowl,” on June 3. In celebration of the amphitheater's 100th anniversary, chef Suzanne Goin and restaurateur Caroline Styne are offering many dining options, including three sit-down restaurants, street-food kiosks, pre-ordered picnic boxes, and a full-service dinner delivered to your box seat. Called “Supper in Your Seats,” guests can select curated, three-course dinners or customized meals from an a la carte menu to be delivered straight to their box seats. Pre-order for this offering is available online up to 4 p.m. the day before a performance.

NEW YORK: The 2022 Tribeca Festival has announced special screenings of the world premieres of classic films, including Hargrove, Fate of a Sport, Out Order, and more. Taking place at Pier 57 and Brookfield Place, the viewings are free and designed to show festival-goers the power of storytelling. The complete lineup of outdoor programming—taking place June 8-19—features family friendly movies, musicals, and curated film selections reflecting themes such as LGBTQ+ and LatinX. More information is available on the Tribeca Festival’s website, and the date, time, and location of screenings will be announced in the coming weeks.
