CALGARY: Now through Sept. 30, the Calgary! Block Party is returning to Deerfoot City for its third summer with the Roller Rink on The Boulevard. Guests are encouraged to bring their skates—or rent some colorful wheels—for a retro, ‘70s-inspired summer soiree. The Roller Rink is open to the public daily and features a 215-foot mural, patio space, outdoor games, local art, and more. Lunch is also available courtesy of the Food Lodge, and outdoor gear will be on sale from Artisan Collective markets.
ONTARIO: Canada’s largest margarita festival, Margapalooza, returns for its second year to Lone Star Texas Grill’s locations across Ontario. Running now through Sept. 6, guests can expect 22 flavors of cocktails, including salty pickle, mango habanero, fuzzy peach, and more. All drinks are also available for takeout and delivery.
TORONTO: The 2022 Love, Scarborough Festival is taking place at Scarborough Town Centre’s Street Eats Market July 15-17. Tickets at the door are $12—early bird tickets are $7—and guests will be able to sample over 200 bites from local chefs, restaurants, and bakers, plus enjoy live cooking demos, special guest appearances, and more in the festival’s 40,000-square-foot space. The Love, Scarborough Festival, which is taking place in collaboration with Street Eats and the Scarborough Health Network Foundation, will also be a fundraiser supporting the Scarborough Health Network Foundation.
To celebrate the return of summer in the Canadian city, Sol Cerveza is hosting the Sol Summer Party at RendezViews on July 16. Kicking off at 4 p.m., attendees at the free event can expect an evening of vacation-inspired food and drink, plus a chance to win a trip for two to Tulum, Mexico.
VANCOUVER: On July 14, the seventh annual VMO Live Symphony Performance takes place from 7-9 p.m. at the Jack Poole Plaza at Burrard Landing. Admission is free, and seating is first-come, first-serve. Guests will be able to enjoy live music presented by PCI and Ledcor, performed by the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra led by Maestro Kenneth Hsieh, in an outdoor venue with breathtaking scenery of Stanley Park, the Burrard Inlet, and the North Shore Mountains. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
