US: Freeman Named a Top Employer for Women, an Outdoor Garden Dance Performance in New York, EDC Orlando Announces the Event Lineup, and More

NATIONAL: Freeman, a global leader in events, has been named a Forbes Top Employer for Women for the third year in a row. The company ranked in the top five in the business services and supplies category and 83 out of 400 overall. The company has also been previously recognized as a Best Large Employer.

ANAHEIM, CALIF.: "The Candlelight Open Air: Songs from Magical Movie Soundtracks" returned to JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort July 27-28. The concert featured a live, outdoor music experience for guests of all ages, plus more than 1,000 flickering candles on the rooftop pool deck of JW Anaheim. After the show, guests were invited to enjoy drinks and light bites at Parkestry, the hotel's rooftop bar, while enjoying a city view (and Disneyland’s firework show in the distance). Additionally, guests could dine at the new, on-site Italian chophouse, Tocca Ferro, which opened July 7. 

MIAMI, FLA.: PĂ©rez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will open a newly installed exhibition, Mariano: Variations on a Theme, on Aug. 4. This exhibition will the first major retrospective exhibition of the work of Cuban artist Mariano RodrĂ­guez in the United States. The display was curated by Elizabeth Tompson Goizueta and tickets start at $16 for adults on a first-come, first-served basis. 

NEW YORK: Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre has announced the performance of Green Afternoon IX, an excerpt from Threads, at the home of architects Marcia Previti and Peter Gumpel. The outdoor garden performance will be held on Aug. 6 at 5 p.m. Different movement installations will be held in various places throughout the property’s outdoor space, and a seated performance will be held on the great lawn. Wine and appetizers will be served throughout the event. Tickets can be purchased online. 

ORLANDO, FLA.: The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Orlando has announced the full lineup of artists for the three-day festival happening Nov. 11-13. The 11th edition of the fest is taking place at Tinker Field in Orlando and will feature more than 100 performances from Kaskade Redux, Dom Dolla, Above & Beyond, and more. General admission three-day passes are on sale now beginning at $199.99, and VIP passes begin at $399.99.
