LOS ANGELES: Entertainment and culture website Vulture announced today that its annual pop culture extravaganza, Vulture Festival, is returning to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. From Nov.12-13, the entertainment site will come to life with once-in-a-lifetime events for guests such as conversations with actors, table reads, cast reunions, and unique surprises.
MIAMI: Urbanspace, an industry leader in food and retail immersive public markets, recently announced that it will expand its New York City holiday market to Miami’s Lincoln Road, one of Florida’s premiere shopping destinations. The Urbanspace Lincoln Road Holiday Market is the pop-up’s inaugural national expansion and aims to become a Miami holiday tradition. The market will be open Nov. 15-Feb. 15 and will feature more than 100 local and out-of-state vendors. Those interested in participating are encouraged to apply via Urbanspace’s website.
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.: Visit Myrtle Beach has recently announced its partnership with The Workshop Content Studios to develop a new cooking competition show titled Chef Swap at the Beach. The show, hosted by celebrity chef Amanda Freitag, will air on The Cooking Channel and will feature several talented chefs in the Myrtle Beach area swapping each other's kitchens to prepare a new dish to be evaluated by a panel of local judges. The 30-minute show will run for a series of six episodes on Saturday nights starting Oct. 1.
NAPA VALLEY, CALIF.: The nonprofit live music organization Accessible Festivals is officially launching its Dan Grover Memorial TicketGrant Program. Through this program, disabled music fans and their loved ones will have access to complimentary admission to recreational experiences such as concerts, festivals, and conventions. Accessible Festivals is partnering with some of the most well-known music festivals in the country, including Austin City Limits Music Festival, BottleRock Napa Valley, Electric Daisy Carnival, Lollapalooza, Rolling Loud NY, Stagecoach, and more.
NEW YORK: New York Public Radio’s annual fundraising event at Brooklyn Bowl will celebrate 40 years of the radio program New Sounds, hosted by John Schaefer, on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. Featuring performances by local groups and a live DJ set, this fundraising event will celebrate Schaefer’s contributions to the New York music scene and will support all of New York Public Radio’s brands, including WNYC, WQXR, Gothamist, and WNYC Studios. Guests will be able to mingle with on-air and podcast talent, hosts, producers, and staff on and off the bowling lanes.
