US: ASM Global Names New Executive Vice President, Family Feud Game Nights in Chicago, KeHE Distributors Celebrates Expansion, and More

GLOBAL: Event management company ASM Global recently named Daniel Hoffend as the new executive vice president of convention centers. ASM Global is an industry leader in entertainment experiences, convention venue management, and event strategy with 98 convention centers worldwide that host more than 160 million guests annually. In the role, Hoffend will lead ASM Global’s new convention growth plan, serve as an industry spokesperson for the company, and design and implement long-term business strategies.

CHICAGO: Pop-up bar Replay Lincoln Park will host a Family Feud-style game show for visitors every Thursday in September beginning at 7 p.m. Teams of two or more are invited to answer survey questions to win prizes, enjoy drink specials, and play games at the open arcade with over 60 free vintage games. Guests must be 21 or over, and no cover or tokens are needed. 

COLORADO: KeHE Distributors recently celebrated the expansion of its Aurora, Colo. distribution center. KeHE is the largest distributor of natural and organic, specialty, and fresh products to more than 30,000 natural food stores, chain and independent grocery stores, e-commerce retailers, and other specialty products retailers throughout North America. The expansion provides an additional 124,000 square feet across all temperature zones, including 33% more freezer space, 66% more cooler capacity, and 43% more dry space. The expansion celebration event included a ribbon cutting, welcome address from KeHE president and CEO Brandon Barnholt, warehouse tours, and lunch. 

DALLAS: Interior design firm Studio 11 Design announced changes to its executive leadership team. Co-founder Stacy Elliston will transition out of her current role as principal of the company, and co-founder Kellie Sirna will take over full leadership with goals to take the company in a new direction.

LAS VEGAS: The Venetian Resort—a luxury resort featuring three all-suite towers and amenities like fine dining, casinos, and a conference center—has announced Tony Yousfi as chief sales officer of its executive team. Yousfi brings 18 years of hospitality experience to the role, and in 2019 he was awarded the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Top 25 Award. Yousfi’s history in Las Vegas hospitality and strategic planning experience will aid the resort’s continued expansion and efforts to enhance the overall customer experience. Yousfi is also an active member of industry organizations, including the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP.)
