US: Wheel of Fortune LIVE! Kicks Off National Tour, Ritz-Carlton Boston's New Pastry Chef, Graduate Roosevelt Island's New Wellness Offerings, and More

NATIONAL: Wheel of Fortune has kicked off its more-than-60-day tour of Wheel of Fortune LIVE! With the help of alternating hosts Mark L. Walberg and Clay Aiken, this all-new live stage show is the only way fans can experience the beloved game in person outside of Sony Pictures Studios. During the show, randomly selected players will have the chance to spin a replica of the iconic wheel and solve puzzles on the tour's puzzle-board to win prizes that include up to $10,000 in cash, a trip to Paris, Hawaii, and more at every show. Additionally, hundreds of audience members will get in on the action by winning cash and prizes. Tour stops include Atlanta; Richmond, Va.,; Columbus, Ohio; Denver; and Seattle.

BOSTON: The Ritz-Carlton Boston, located downtown and across from the historic Boston Common, has announced the appointment of Christopher Goluszka as pastry chef. He will oversee all pastry operations for the hotel, including designing and curating desserts for the hotel's on-site F&B outlets, Artisan Bistro and Avery Bar. He will also oversee menu creation for desserts for banquets and social functions, in-room dining, and guest amenities. Goluszka has worked in pastry departments in some of the leading luxury hotels in the U.S. and independent restaurants in Boston, including South End Buttery.

LOS ANGELES: It was announced this week that EGOT-winning singer-songwriter John Legend will perform at the 36th Carousel of Hope Ball, presented by Dexcom, on Oct. 8 at The Beverly Hilton hotel. For the ball, Carousel of Hope will bring together film, television, music, and business industries to support increasing awareness for diabetes and raise funds for clinical care and diabetes research at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes. Guests will enjoy cocktails, silent and live auctions, dinner, exciting entertainment, and musical performances.

NEW YORK: Graduate Roosevelt Island has launched new wellness programming for its guests and corporate visitors to experience. Beyond access to traditional wellness packages, the hotel is also offering unique meeting breaks featuring sound baths and reiki, aromatic therapies, and Alchemologie fragrance-blending classes. The hotel features 3,800 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, both indoors and out.

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Beginning this month, Strathmore will once again provide expansive dining options before performances in its venues. With new hospitality partner Sodexo Live! and under the leadership of a new chef, the F&B experience for patrons at Strathmore’s Music Center and AMP will be customized to the season and event. Philadelphia native and culinary artist chef LaTasha Stevenson will lead the Strathmore Culinary Arts team, which will incorporate unique and familiar dishes with a distinct take on sustainable, seasonal, mid-Atlantic favorites. Specific themed menus will be shared the week leading up to each performance.
