GLOBAL: Full-service hotel management company Valor Hospitality Partners has announced a partnership with the hospitality and leisure vertical of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD). The government arm manages a portfolio of commercial companies and investments, and thanks to the joint venture, Valor Hospitality has already begun operational transitions of more than 800 keys across hotels in the Emirate.
CALGARY: The Market Collective is hosting a holiday market at the BMO Centre for patrons looking to shop local this holiday season Dec. 9-11 and 16-18. On top of goods from a slew of vendors, guests can expect food stands and live music. Tickets are available at the door for $7 for weekend access.
TORONTO: Winterlit: An Illuminated Walk Through the Woods invites guests to take in all the natural beauty of Mountsberg Conservation Area this winter season. From Dec. 28-Feb. 20, a mile-long trail at the conservation area will twinkle with lights and feature art installations, musical performances, and fires along the way. Winterlit will be open Thursday-Sunday from 6-10:30 p.m., and tickets can be purchased online.
VANCOUVER: The Robson Square Ice Rink has opened for the 2022 season and invites guests to experience old-fashioned winter fun in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The rink is open now through Feb. 28, 2023, and skaters can enjoy live Christmas music Dec. 13-24 during Robson Square’s “Twelve Days of Christmas,” featuring performances by Tamara Rhodes Band, SnapDragon, DJ Barron S, and Santa’s Brass, just to name a few. Skate rentals are $5.
The fourth annual Fleurs de Villes Noël takes over downtown Vancouver with fresh, holiday-themed florals Dec. 9-18. Passersby can expect floral mannequins dressed in garb made entirely of blooms, floral doorways, and other photo-worthy moments.
