US: Hubilo’s Acquisition, Plantopia to Tour the US, Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen to Open in Vegas This Summer, and More

GLOBAL: Hubilo Technologies Inc., a leading global event technology platform, has acquired fellow event tech company Fielddrive BVBA. The strategic partnership will give the brands access to greater resource, data, and market insight in order to deliver leading products and consumer experiences, plus attract top talent. Hubilo, which was founded five years ago, delivers virtual and hybrid event experiences in 185-plus countries and to more than 2 million eventgoers. Fielddrive, meanwhile, is a global on-site event technology company that supports organizers with sustainable solutions.

NATIONAL: Cannonball Production is presenting Plantopia—its newest, plant-based festival—which will tour the U.S. this spring. On April 1, Plantopia will make a stop in San Diego before heading to Jersey City on April 22 and Chicago on May 6. Plantopia will also pit-stop in LA, with dates to be announced in the coming weeks. Guests can expect family friendly, immersive experiences featuring food, drink, and lifestyle brands. Tickets are available on Plantopia’s website starting at $24.61.

Utah-based events platform Rainfocus has introduced a new chat feature for event attendees to connect and network before, during, and after an event. The offering was announced at Rainfocus’ annual INSIGHT conference, which took place earlier this month. Thanks to the addition, users will be able to create profiles and opt-in to networking and chat functions to connect with fellow eventgoers with similar interests.

LAS VEGAS: Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen is slated to open at Horseshoe Las Vegas this summer as part of the resort’s ongoing brand transformation. Designed by Aria Group Architects, the swanky site will span 6,540 square feet and boast colorful wall murals, a 360-degree island bar, and an MVP lounge for VIP game day viewings. Upon opening, Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen will be able to seat a total of 279 guests.

PALM SPRINGS, CALIF.: Visit Greater Palm Springs has welcomed Todd Burke as its vice president of communications. In the role, Burke will support the tourism agency’s public relations efforts, which are designed to position Palm Springs as the destination to live, work, and visit. He will also oversee communications for the organization’s corporate initiatives, which include workforce development, education, sustainability, and DEI.
