ALBERTA: HawaiianIslands.com, a leading source for restaurant, hotel, and travel news in Hawaii, has published its list of the top 10 Canadian restaurants with the most beautiful views. Three spots in Alberta made the list. Listed No. 7 was the Lakeview Lounge, where guests can dine in the forefront of Lake Louise’s breathtaking landscape. No. 6 was the Juniper Bistro in Banff, which is notable for its views of Mount Norway. Ranked No. 3 was Banff’s Sky Bistro, a restaurant that resides atop Sulphur Mountain.
EDMONTON: Last fall, the City of Edmonton approved $7.5 million in funding to open 209 new shelter spaces inside a hotel on Stony Plain Road. Earlier this month, the emergency shelter opened some of its beds, which are set to occupy a total of 59 private rooms at the property, which is operated by the Jasper Place Wellness Centre (JPWC). The shelter will provide its guests with daily meals, health services, as well as mental health, case management, and housing support.
Edmonton’s Downtown Dining Week returns March 15-26 this year, inviting foodies and locals alike to explore the city’s best eateries. Designed to celebrate food and the resiliency of Downtown Edmonton’s hospitality industry, participating restaurants will offer special menu prices in celebration of Dining Week. All-day menus will run guests $20, while brunch and lunch will be $35, and dinner will be $65. TORONTO: The fifth annual CAFTCAD (Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design) Awards is taking place on March 5, live from Toronto’s Aga Khan Museum.
