US: Texas Pinball Festival Returns, Hyatt Regency Hill Country Starts Renovations, Hargrove's Promotion, and More

GLOBAL: RCX Sports has officially launched NHL STREET, a youth hockey league (for children ages 6-16) that will bring new style, energy, and gameplay to the sport, offering families an affordable, neighborhood-based model that gives kids across North America an opportunity to learn and play hockey. The seven markets chosen for the Phase I rollout are Austin, Boston, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Winnipeg. 

FRISCO, TEXAS: The Texas Pinball Festival will return to Frisco from March 24-26 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Frisco Conference Center. Each year, this popular event (the largest of its kind in the industry) welcomes guests from all over the U.S. and beyond. This year, eventgoers can expect more than 400 vintage and new pinball machines, as well as classic arcade games set to free play. They can also enjoy a variety of adult and child pinball tournaments throughout the weekend.

LOS ANGELES: Mondrian Los Angeles’ iconic Magic Box art exhibit—a rotating pop-up art gallery in the lobby—presents Angel House: a women’s showcase to celebrate Women’s History month. Running all month long, the women’s showcase features four local artists presenting abstract and sculptural fine art in a variety of media reflecting on subjects related to feminism, empowerment, and their experiences in the City of Angels.

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa recently celebrated its 30-year anniversary. To honor the milestone, the resort is undergoing a $50 million renovation to its guest rooms and meeting spaces, expected to be complete this spring. The Hill Country Ballroom, Fredericksburg Ballroom, and all indoor breakout rooms will be updated with new carpeting, wall coverings, light fixtures, and sound systems.

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Full-service event, exposition, and experience marketing production company Hargrove has announced the promotion of  Lisa Miller to vice president of event and trade show productions. She will lead the growth and development of the event and trade show business overall for the Washington, D.C.-area based company. Miller joined Hargrove in 2016 as a sales executive, and since then has managed events for some of Hargrove’s most high-profile clients, including the U.S. State Department, the National Education Association, and the Democratic National Convention Committee.
