NATIONAL: Hard Rock International has announced the appointment of Colleen Brzozowski as regional director global sales - Midwest. In her new role, Brzozowski will be responsible for building awareness for the iconic Hard Rock brand, developing relationships with key meeting and incentive clients and agencies in her region, and ultimately driving business to the brand's global portfolio. She most recently served as as director of venue sales for Sodexo Live!
KEY WEST, FLA.: This fall, Casa Marina, Curio Collection by Hilton will unveil a major property renovation. Meeting attendees can expect vibrant guest rooms, an airy lobby lined with windows framing the beach, an additional 5,000-square-foot oceanfront event lawn space, enhanced F&B offerings (including the closest rooftop bar to the ocean in Key West), and a full restoration of Casa Marina's piers—to be utilized for water sports.
LOS ANGELES: Andaz West Hollywood has announced the appointment of Kris Phillips as its new director of sales, marketing, and events. The property is one of Hyatt’s boutique hotels under the Andaz brand. In the role, Phillips will oversee and spearhead strategy for sales and marketing, in addition to conducting revenue forecasting, writing business plans, and working closely with his team on all events taking place at the property. He most recently served as associate director of sales at Thompson Buckhead.
NASHVILLE: Hand Cut Chophouse—an upscale restaurant, bar, and music venue located within Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown—is set to open April 12. This upscale, lobby-level restaurant marks the completion of the full-service all-suite hotel, which opened its doors in June 2022. From Riot Hospitality, the restaurant will offer a menu of chops, burgers, and unique cocktails. And upon opening, Hand Cut Chophouse will serve lunch and dinner in a 5,500-square-foot space that has a large outdoor patio and world-class amenities suited to private events.
NEW YORK: Artexpo New York, which is now in its 46th year, is taking place March 30-April 2 at Pier 36 in Manhattan. It recently announced its 2023 schedule of programming, which will include more than 200 innovative exhibiting galleries, art publishers and dealers, and artists from around the globe interacting across 70,000 square feet of uninterrupted convention space. This year’s program features an extensive series of daily activities for attendees, like live demonstrations and "art talks." Tickets are on sale now and start at $30.
