Tickets are available now on NorthwestFest's website.

TORONTO: Liberty Entertainment Group is toasting all mothers May 13-14 with the return of its beloved High Tea at the Castle at Casa Loma. With three seatings—at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. in the Library and Conservatory and two seatings in the Oak and Billiard Rooms—families can celebrate their moms and motherly figures while enjoying a classic British-inspired high tea service. Expect a menu that includes international teas, scones, smoked wild king salmon, a selection of sandwiches, and plenty of sweets for dessert.

In Bloom: Flowers and Footwear has opened at the Bata Shoe Museum just in time for spring. This exhibit pairs a footwear artifact with one or more botanicals—25 floral and natural material variations are highlighted throughout the showcase. From hydrangea, peony, iris, and tulip to cork, thistle, and acanthus, visitors will learn about the origin and meaning of each, as well as several interesting facts like: During WWII, many countries restricted the use of traditional shoemaking materials such as leather and rubber.

VICTORIA, B.C.: Victoria’s iconic Fairmont Empress has earned the distinguished BIOSPHERE Certification, as awarded by the Responsible Tourism Institute, an international nonprofit NGO that has promoted responsible tourism at an international level for more than 20 years. In an effort to obtain the certification, Fairmont Empress demonstrated sustainable practices, showing its contribution to the fulfillment of the critical 17 objectives and 169 Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
