CANADA: Calgary International Beerfest, Montreal's Tourism Innovation Showcase, Toronto's New Food Hall, and More

CALGARY: The Calgary International Beerfest will take place May 5-6 this year at BMO Centre at Stampede Park. Along with over 700 beers from more than 200 breweries, eventgoers can expect brew master seminars, cooking seminars with food and beer pairings, the Distillery District for exploring the emerging craft spirits industry, and food from some of Calgary’s best restaurants. Tickets start at $19.99, which include entry into the festival and a commemorative sample mug.

MONTREAL: MT Lab, in collaboration with the Palais des congrès de Montréal, is set to unveil its first Tourism Innovation Showcase on May 4. Hosted in the Palais' shopping mall, the exhibit will be free to the public and offer an array of multisensory and interactive experiences to show off the city. To design and implement the exhibit's inaugural theme, "5 Senses, 4 Seasons, 1 City," MT Lab turned to Stimulation Déjà Vu to create an original, multisensory experience that offers the chance to see, smell, hear, touch, and taste Montréal and its iconic neighborhoods across the seasons.

TORONTO: TABLE Fare + Social (TABLE), a new food hall in Toronto, has announced that it will open this summer. The new venue is situated in Toronto's bustling financial district on the fourth floor of the iconic CIBC SQUARE complex on Bay Street. Expect a multifunctional space with various seating areas, from communal tables to quiet alcoves in the library to alfresco dining. Food stalls will represent an array of culinary offerings that showcase Toronto's dynamic and evolving food scene. There will also be a central bar that offers hand-crafted cocktails and a lively atmosphere.

The Ontario Museum Association is encouraging all Ontarians and visitors alike to add a museum to their local travel plans. Celebrated annually since 2000, May is Museum Month/Mai, Mois des MusĂ©es is a program from the association that is celebrated by Ontario's more than 700 museums, galleries, and heritage sites, their 11,000 employees, and 37,000 volunteers. 

VANCOUVER: Concord Pacific has announced it will host and fund the third annual Tour de Concord criterium cycling race and its accompanying Free Family Bike Festival on Saturday, June 10. Tour de Concord is part of Concord's returning Summer Wellness Series, which also includes Own Your Run and Yoga @ Concord Community Park with lululemon. The race and the on-site festival will be Vancouver's first major summer event and takes place on a new, 900-metre cycling course fully contained within Concord Pacific Place on the north shore of False Creek.
