CANADA: Edmonton Jewish Film Festival, Liberty Entertainment Group's Signature Wine Event, Toronto's Festival of Beer, and More

NATIONAL: Porter Airlines is launching its summer schedule at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), with additional flexibility when traveling between YYZ and Ottawa (YOW), Montreal (YUL), Halifax (YHZ), Vancouver (YVR), Edmonton (YEG), and Calgary (YYC). The new schedule comes into effect June 1, adding more desirable flight times that are distributed throughout the day. Certain routes will see a further increase in flights by August. A greater number of coast-to-coast connecting flight options via Porter's YYZ hub are also created with this new schedule.

EDMONTON: The 27th annual Edmonton Jewish Film Festival is happening now through May 13 at the Stanley A. Milner Library downtown. Moviegoers can enjoy a lineup of films and events in person and online. Q&As with filmmakers will also give attendees the opportunity to meet the creative minds behind the films. The festival is free.

OTTAWA: The exhibition "Our Climate Quest: Small Steps to Big Change" is now open at the Canada Science and Technology Museum. How do our decisions in the grocery aisle impact the environment? How do energy savings stack up when choosing public transit and active transportation? Designed as a series of interactive games and quizzes, the exhibition explores the answers to these questions and more as visitors discover the big impacts of everyday choices. "Our Climate Quest" is included with the price of admission and runs through Sept. 4.

TORONTO: Liberty Entertainment Group—in partnership with Italian food and wine multimedia brand Gambero Rosso—has announced the return of its signature fundraising wine event, Tre Bicchieri 2023 Best of Italy Wine Tasting. It will take place June 8 from 6-10 p.m. at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex. The gala event highlights a first-class selection of wineries awarded with the esteemed Tre Bicchieri (“Three Glasses”) Award by one of Italy’s most influential wine guides. The event will also feature a wide selection of unreleased vintages, and guests will have the opportunity to meet with more than 50 winemakers from Italy and taste more than 150 premium labels. Early bird tickets are $125.

Toronto's Festival of Beer, presented by The Beer Store, will take place this year July 28-30 at Bandshell Park within Exhibition Place. A stacked entertainment lineup includes Ice Cube, Big Boi, and Third Eye Blind. But the beer, of course, is the main event: Expect more than 400 brews, bubbles, and nonalcoholic options to sample, as well as food vendors and beer-themed games and entertainment activations. Tickets start at $65.
