QUÉBEC: In January 2025, for the first time ever, an international cruise ship will sail the waters of the Saint Lawrence in the heart of winter. The Commandant Charcot, with some 200 winter activity enthusiasts aboard, will make four 12-night sailings between late January and early March 2025. Several Saint Lawrence member ports of call appear on the scheduled itinerary, including Îles–de–la–Madeleine, Gaspé, Sept-Îles, Saguenay, and Québec. Embarkation and disembarkation operations will be shared between Québec and Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.
SASKATOON, S.K.: WestJet has begun its new nonstop transborder service between Saskatoon and Minneapolis. This summer, three weekly flights will travel between the two destinations. With the new service, WestJet has increased transborder capacity in and out of the City of Bridges by 20% during the summer.
TORONTO: Great Canadian Entertainment's brand-new gaming floor and multiple dining venues at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto are now open to the public. Adjacent to Woodbine Racetrack, the property is the newest and largest casino resort in Canada and one of the largest in North America. Gaming enthusiasts can enjoy 328,000 square feet of gaming space that includes 4,800 slot machines, 145 live table games, VIP rooms, and sports betting kiosks.
