BANFF: Banff International String Quartet Festival is a three-day festival showcasing the finest in international classical music to audiences through a completely immersive experience. This year, the event will take place Sept. 1-3. Led by director of the Banff International String Quartet Competition Barry Shiffman, the festival features competition alumni alongside special guests exploring repertoire from across the centuries.
EDMONTON: UpSwing at Rundle GC will host a day of family-friendly fun on the links. This year, the annual Family Golf Festival will feature the GolfZilla, providing entertainment for all ages. Registration covers access to the golf course, a game of Frisbee golf, and a treat for each participant, comprising a hot dog, chips, and a beverage.
OTTAWA: The Driven Ottawa Aftermarket Car Show will take place Aug. 26 at the EY Centre, featuring over 300 vehicles and displays and Pro Drift. The event will take up 100,000 square feet of show space with vehicles visiting Ottawa from across Canada and will convert the back lot into a drift course.
TORONTO: Bubble Planet: An Immersive Experience, a multisensory experience that has drawn record crowds in Milan, Brussels, and Los Angeles, will make its Canadian debut in Toronto this fall, and advance tickets are now available. The experience features more than 10 thematic environments, a bubble bath ball pit, virtual reality, and interactive games. The Balloon Getaway event simulates a hot air balloon flight. Further information regarding the Toronto location and opening date will be announced soon.
VANCOUVER: The famous PNE Fair is in full swing, taking place now through Sept. 4. This end-of-summer tradition features attractions and entertainment like The SuperDogs, Knights of Valour jousting show, The Flying Fools High Dive Show, dueling pianos, an immersive Monet art exhibit, agriculture displays, drag shows, cooking demonstrations, a pyro musical, exhibits, and summer night concerts.
