The latest includes new dining experiences like Shake Shack, an Atlantis scavenger hunt, a casino renovation, pickleball courts, and a new bar and lounge dubbed Bar Sol.
EDMONTON: Gotta Minute Film Festival marks its 10th anniversary in 2023. Created by PATTISON Onestop and the Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta, this film fest is designed for commuters and anyone passing by. Those on the go can catch one-minute silent short films and turn their daily commute into a mini cinematic adventure. The fest is taking place now through Sept. 24 at various locations.
TORONTO: Parkbus announced the expansion of its NatureLink program, offering free and subsidized transportation to national and provincial parks for marginalized and underrepresented communities. TD Bank Group (TD), through its corporate citizenship platform, the TD Ready Commitment, has selected Parkbus to receive funding to continue supporting subsidized trips across Canada to parks and outdoor spaces, aspiring to benefit new groups and increase participation for the 2023-2025 seasons.
Porter Airlines inaugurated its nonstop service between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG). Flights between the provincial capitals begin with two daily round trips. The route operates with Porter's new 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
VANCOUVER: Tourist attraction Vancouver Aquarium announced the establishment of the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Society (VAMMR) as a newly registered charity. VAMMR is an independent registered charity proud to be working in partnership with the Vancouver Aquarium. Donations will go directly to VAMMR and help rescue, rehabilitate, and release marine mammals in distress.
