CANADA: Edmonton Convention Centre's New Partnership, Ontario Science Centre's RBC Innovators Ball, Laver Cup in Vancouver, and More

GLOBAL: EV Connect announced an agreement with hospitality leader Marriott International to simplify EV charging for its properties and guests. With EV Connect, Marriott properties will have a turnkey solution to easily add and manage EV charging stations through the EV Connect platform. This is the first agreement of this type for Marriott and ensures that participating locations can provide reliable charging infrastructure at locations within the U.S. and Canada.

EDMONTON: The Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) and Edmonton Convention Centre (ECC) announced a new partnership. As of Sept. 18, the ECC is the exclusive provider of events, catering, and facility booking services at the nationally renowned AGA. The ECC’s team will manage events and catering services at the AGA.

MONTREAL: Sept. 22-24 marks the rendez-vous for boating and recreational water sports enthusiasts: the Bateau à flot de Montréal. The event is back for its 14th edition with more than 100 new boats to discover all in one place. Eventgoers can expect a multitude of exclusive brands and models of boats of all sizes, from 10 to 60 feet, on offer.

TORONTO: A night of science awaits at the Ontario Science Centre's RBC Innovators Ball, taking place Nov. 2. RBC's chief risk officer, Graeme Hepworth, joins as the new chair of this long-standing event, which will be co-emceed this year by CBC's Nature of Things host Anthony Morgan, a former Science Centre Host; and Marianne Mader, space scientist and CEO of the Canadian Association of Science Centres. This event brings together community leaders to raise funds to enrich the Centre's programs and provide barrier-free STEM learning experiences for children and youth across the province.

VANCOUVER: The Laver Cup will head to Vancouver this year, with the city set to stage the dynamic team tournament at the Rogers Arena from Sept. 22-24. Fans can expect to witness the world's top players—rivals year-round—as teammates to honor the great legends of the past and bring competitive tennis to new destinations. This is the first time the World team, which includes Canada, will host the Laver Cup outside of the U.S.
