What I do:
I am responsible for selling, producing, and executing incredible, high-level events and programs for corporate, association and third-party planners. I also collaborate with our vice president of event services to develop and mentor our team by offering strategy and best practices based on my years of experience in the industry. Additionally, I spearhead the business development initiatives with suppliers and strategic partners.
Greatest career accomplishment:
Serving as chair for the 2018 Association of Destination Management Executives International Annual Conference. Because of my success planning the conference, I was awarded one of the highest honors in our organization, the Joann O’Connor President’s Award.
Impressive stats:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was able to support our clients and leverage relationships to negotiate substantial refunds for cancellations and rescheduled events. The one I am most proud of was for a pharmaceutical company. We were working on a more than $250,000 program that was canceled four days before it was supposed to operate. I was able to recoup more than $100,000 in direct refunds for them while still supporting all of our suppliers that we had to cancel on last minute.
