What I do:
I oversee logistics for AUVSI’s major trade show and smaller events we hold throughout the year. I am responsible for a broad range of event planning components, such as supporting our sales team through sponsorship fulfillment, site inspections, budget management and working as a project manager to keep all items moving toward deadlines.
Impressive stats:
I have made one of my priorities to review our internet and Wi-Fi show data with our IT team after each event. Together, we have been able to fine-tune our internet and Wi-Fi order based on actual usage data, which has saved our association over $50,000.
Specific improvement I’ve made:
A few years ago, AUVSI rebranded our trade show. I came up with the idea to create a playlist for attendees to download and have our physical giveaway be branded earbuds. Music brings people together and hearing a song can remind them of their time at our event, and the earbuds were a big hit at the show!
