Shahara Anderson-Davis describes herself as a marketing maven, visionary and executer.
What I do: For the past 6 years, I have flourished in the association and nonprofit world. I was responsible for the strategic development and execution of all marketing and digital strategies, member relations, content creation and management, planning, media relations, major conferences and events, as well as solidifying AMAC's brand identity nationwide to current and prospective members, corporations, universities, government entities, business and community leaders. Due to COVID-19, I was impacted like many others to make a professional pivot. I am now entering the corporate world with my new position with Guidehouse. I started in July. As a Management Consultant, I’ll be working under the Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure public sector umbrella for our client, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
Greatest career accomplishment: I was the lead for two consecutive sold-out annual conferences for AMAC.
Impressive stats: During my three years at AMAC, we saw a 41% increase in event attendance, a 72% increase in email subscribers and a 192% increase in social media followers.
Specific improvement I’ve made: I helped revamp our main website and created a microsite for our five major events, as well as amplified AMAC’s national brand recognition and membership engagement initiatives.
