Rolando Espinoza, 53, is the creative director of Champagne Creative Group, a national art house filled with curated entertainment options for events, along with Champagne Experiential Studios, the company's new division specializing in experiential activations nationwide. He's based in Las Vegas and has previously served on boards for MPI, ILEA, SITE, and the Las Vegas Business Academy.
How I got here:
I originally came from video game design and fell into live events by accident—and I’ve never looked back.
Greatest career accomplishment:
I had the pleasure of working with Elon Musk for several years, and got to impress and intimately joke around with this trailblazer.
A specific improvement I’ve made:
With the great heights that I’ve been lucky enough to achieve, I’ve never lost sight of sending the elevator back down to newcomers and students. This is important to me.
The biggest change I've observed in the industry:
I started in the industry in 2005 when the internet was just an infant, and its influences were minimal. Now, the speed, inspiration, and innovation are incredible, and that is all because of the World Wide Web.
What I do outside of work:
I’m a late bloomer and have 4-year-old and 6-year-old superstars. On the weekends, you can find me making pancakes and eating them with my kids at the water park.
My No. 1 piece of career advice I'd give my younger self:
Younger self, listen! You need to network more—it’s amazing where it will take you.
