ACLU Prefers Event Tech

Heather Artemis has been the national events manager for the American Civil Liberties Union since 2004. Based in the nonprofit's New York headquarters, Artemis coordinates four large events nationwide every year. She is currently planning a membership conference in Washington for 3,000 people.

Transportation: “Chris Powell is the owner of Mahogany Limousine Service, and he has been terrific to work with. He’s always very organized and very prompt. We are always transporting celebrities and V.I.P.s, and his group has been really great. He also helps me stay organized on our billing; I don’t get that a lot. Sometimes it’s hard at the end of the day to match all of the expenses, but he’s been extremely helpful.”Production: “I’ve been so happy with Event Tech. They do stage production, [including] all of the sound and lighting equipment. They provide all of our technical support and are based really close to D.C. We’ve also used them for events in San Francisco, too—we were so pleased with their work that we had them join us in Washington as well."

Venue: “I had an event at the Marriott in Wardman Park, and it was so smooth. Dana Garcia was our event planner there. The space was beautiful, the food was fabulous, and everything just clicked and was great. I love working with Marriott as a provider of venue space and sleep rooms.”
