Lauren Urband's last day at Harrison & Shriftman will be June 21.
She'll start as the new PR director at Kelly Wearstler Interior Design
on July 2. Wearstler's design projects include international
resorts and hotels throughout the U.S., the Caribbean, and
Mexico, including the Viceroy in Santa Monica and Palm Springs and the
Hard Rock High Roller Suite in Las Vegas. Urband says her own interest in interior design makes the new role an ideal match.
And the Huntington Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau has named Wendy Haase as the new director of public relations and Megan Sweeney to the post of communication specialist. As PR director, Haase will cultivate editorial relationships and package story ideas that promote the city's "Surf City USA" brand. In her role as communication specialist, Sweeney will oversee the calendar of events, a new email-based newsletter campaign, and the city's promotional Web site content.
