On Tuesday night Briggs Inc. held its seventh annual June Briggs Awards for Destination Management Excellence at Top of the Rock, honoring Carey Limousine, Ken Palmer of Patina Group, Macy’s, and New York Marriott Marquis for their contributions to the field.
Briggs honors a different group of individuals and companies each year that have helped serve New York's destination management and hospitality industry. The presentation to the local honorees and representatives was given by Rod (a puppet from Avenue Q voiced by Jonathan Root) and Briggs president Anthony Napoli. In recent years, local institutions awarded by Briggs include 21 Club, Academy Motorcoach, Bermuda Limousine, Chez Josephine, Cipriani Group, Four Seasons Hotel, Great Performances, Remi Restaurant, Starbright Floral Design, and Tavern on the Green.
