A major enhancement will soon debut at Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center. This month, the mega meetings property plans to debut a $22 million exterior revamp that will bring "an elevated arrival experience," according to a press release. The project aims to help guests and meeting goers more thoroughly enjoy the Colorado outdoors. Features of the revamp include a new games lawn (think: bocce ball, corn hole, and giant chess) and the addition of terraces to on-site dining concepts Old Hickory Steakhouse and Mountain Pass Sports Bar. The Grand Lodge Lawn will now have a large, freestanding double-fireplace structure, with two 9-foot-wide hearths. And just last week, Hilton Santa Marta debuted with 261 guest rooms, five dining experiences, and more than 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the property design was inspired by its surroundings; the main entrance features a water mirror made of Tayrona stone and a façade composed of a metal structure inspired by the nearby coral reefs. As for the meeting space, expect eight meeting rooms and a ballroom that can hold up to 450 guests. There's also a terrace on the 16th floor, ideal for an outdoor event offering prime views.
