How I got here: Since entering the events industry more than 10 years ago, I have coordinated and overseen the strategic execution of hundreds of events, both large and small. Having experience on both the planner and supplier sides of the industry, I have leveraged each of the work experiences as an opportunity to learn, ask questions and grow my knowledge of all areas of the industry. My current role includes executing key strategies for end-to-end national and regional event campaigns that deliver a consistent, impressive and informative experience via in-person and virtual events including annual conferences, webinars, product launches and more.
Greatest career accomplishment: The feat for our annual conference, QuickBooks Connect Toronto, was to execute the event for 2,000 attendees in under three months. It required delivering 40 separate live brand environments for event sponsors and producing engaging activations and entertainment spaces, all within a short production window. Based on the success of this event, we were nominated for the Canadian Special Events (CSE) Awards under two categories and I have been nominated for multiple awards based on my efforts in the events industry.
Impressive stats: By updating our corporate policies and event management protocols, I achieved cost savings in excess of $100,000 while overseeing the planning and execution of multiple events. With more than 100 hundred events planned during my first year, the implementation of these control mechanisms delivered more than half a million dollars in cost savings.
What I do outside of work: As an active member of MPI (an association I have been a member of for 10 years) and as current Chair of the Awards Gala, I continue to volunteer, participate in events, mentor new members of or those coming into the industry and am dedicated to making this industry a success.
My passion for baking started when I was younger, spending time in the kitchen with my mother and grandmothers to learn family recipes passed down from generation to generation. Traditional Hungarian desserts to homemade muffins and cakes, spending time in the kitchen was a way to decompress and have fun, becoming a true passion for me.
