INDUSTRY NEWS: Event designer Colin Cowie is engaged to boyfriend Danny Peuscovich. The couple plan to wed in South Africa in February. Cowie told Page Six: “I’ve organized events all over the world, but this will be my favorite wedding. I never thought this would happen for me, but we’re both completely in love.”
DETROIT: The Cobo Center has obtained recertification to the Event Industry Council’s Accepted Practices Exchange/American Society for Testing and Materials International (APEX/ASTM) Sustainable Meeting Standard for venues. The convention also is in the process of gaining LEED certification with the U.S. Green Buildings Council.
LAS VEGAS: Trago Lounge has opened at Tropicana Las Vegas. The 3,500-square-foot cocktail bar and lounge can hold as many as 120 guests.
LOS ANGELES: The fourth annual Masters of Taste will take place April 7 at Rose Bowl Stadium. Participating vendors include Bone Kettle, Lady M, Indie Brewing Company, and Gus’s World Famous. The event benefits Union Station Homeless Services.

NEW YORK: Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, will feature TV anniversary events for In Living Color and The Simpsons as part of the festival’s TV and N.O.W. programs. The festival, which runs April 24-May 5, will also screen the world premieres of Amazon’s The Boys and Netflix’s Tuca & Bertie.
The A.I. for Retail conference will take place June 24-25. The artificial intelligence conference will have speakers from companies including Apple, Verizon, Wayfair, Spotify, and Amazon.
