CLEVELAND: Communication Exhibits Inc., which builds sets used at trade shows, corporate offices, and museums, created and installed an exhibit on the Goodyear blimp in the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta that opened in mid-December. The Canton Repository: "The exhibit features a door from an old blimp gondola and a replica camera. It offers visitors 'blimp view' on-demand, where they can experience aerial views of iconic college football stadiums. An LED screen can display personalized messages for fans, and visitors can watch aerial footage of marquee games that date to the 1950s."

LOS ANGELES: The historic Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro, which opened in 1931, has debuted revamped lighting capabilities courtesy of Kinetic Lighting. In addition to new LED bulbs, the theater now offers a slew of creative new audiovisual options for events.

For the third time, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Dick Clark Productions have partnered with Facebook to live stream the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday. The two-hour pre-show will be available globally on Facebook Watch.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: New Port Richey officials debated blackout dates for events in one of its most prominent public venues, Sims Park, along with other event-related considerations such as where vendors should be located and how to regulate golf cart use by the public and event organizers, according to the Suncoast News.

NEW ORLEANS: The city's famed Antoine’s Restaurant—the birthplace of Oysters Rockefeller and the oldest family-owned restaurant in the U.S.—will celebrate 180 years in business with a series of special events, menus, and commemorations throughout 2020.

NEW YORK: The National Student Entrepreneurs Summit, a new event, will be held April 18 at the Colden Center of Queens College. Lorene Cowan is planning the event with Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs NYC and Queens College, City University of New York.

WASHINGTON: OpenWater, an application and review software platform, announced a new mobile app for associations to manage annual meetings, conferences, and events. The ProgramBook is intended to be a replacement for the printed program book at scientific, medical, and professional conferences by pulling the program of abstracts, sessions, and authors into a searchable mobile companion. It also allows planners to connect their CRM, event registration, and marketing software to the app.
