INDUSTRY NEWS: Events Industry Council launched EIC Knowledge Hub, a new online learning platform for event professionals with education, best practices, courses, and more. The new hub allows event professionals to take courses and sessions on topics such as sustainability, risk management, meeting or event design, and strategic planning.

ATLANTA: SCAD’s annual DeFine Art will take place February 18-20 in both Savannah and Atlanta, with panels, exhibitions, and guests including honoree Marilyn Minter, who will speak about the future of art and curation for art consultants.

ATL Girl Gang announced its Hey Ladies mini conference series, with the first event happening March 29 at the Carlyle. Attendees can expect panels, local eats and drinks, photo ops, pop-ups, networking opportunities, giveaways, and more.

LAS VEGAS: The Jonas Brothers have announced a Las Vegas residency at the Park Theater at Park MGM. The nine-date residency begins on April 1.

LOS ANGELES: S Bar opened on January 17 adjacent to the Philippe Starck-designed Katsuya space in Brentwood. The new mixology-focused lounge from hospitality group SBE serves creative cocktails paired with a Katsuya-influenced menu from SBE chief culinary officer Martin Heierling. The indoor-outdoor space has a private dining room.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: The Key West International Airport announced plans for $28 million in renovations and expansions that includes a runway and taxiway extension to 5,075 feet long.

NEW YORK: The International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York is scheduled to take place March 8-10 at the Javits Center. As the largest trade show in the restaurant and food service industry, the event provides access to more than 400 vendors presenting products, equipment, tech, and solutions for the food and beverage industry.

WASHINGTON: Trade Center Management Associates will host its annual Sparkle Lounge event, in partnership with Design Foundry, on Thursday. This year’s client appreciation event will be held inside Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center’s Pavilion room and will feature food and drinks, photo-worthy moments, and more.
