NATIONAL: Event interpretation company Interprefy has launched new live captioning abilities for multilingual meetings and conferences. Complementing Interprefy's sign language offering, Interprefy Captions are available in 31 languages and have been designed as a visual aid for users to follow speech through translated subtitles, with real-time interpretation from professional conference interpreters transcribed into live captions using AI-powered Automated Speech Recognition technology.
EDMONTON: The Edmonton Fall Home Show takes place Oct. 15-17 at Edmonton EXPO Centre. The three-day event features a marketplace with home-related products and services, informative presentations from local and international home professionals, and the ability to connect with industry experts. MONTREAL: C2 Montreal has announced further details on the programming for the year’s hybrid edition, taking place Oct. 19-21 both in person and on an all-new digital event platform, C2Agora. Speakers will include senior leaders from brands like TikTok, Facebook, Amazon and Cirque du Soleil, alongside celebrities like Lindsey Vonn and Mindy Kaling.
TORONTO: Forever Fest, a new three-day festival celebrating Canadian art and culture, took place at Maple Leaf Forever Park in Leslieville from Oct. 1-3. The event, which featured live music from Canadian artists, food and drinks from local vendors, and a market, raised funds for Indigenous charity Legacy of Hope in support of residential school survivors.
VANCOUVER: Versante Hotel, Greater Vancouver’s first new luxury boutique hotel in years, has opened. The venue’s 100 guestrooms and suites feature bold decor, spa-like bathrooms and in select suites state-of-the-art MirrorTM technology. There’s also more than 5,500 square feet of event space, plus a fitness center and a variety of dining concepts.
