CANADA: Puppy Yoga Classes, the 2021 Skate Canada International, a Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon and More

NATIONAL: Saint-Gobain, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed Canada Inc., will host its annual Canadian Architectural Symposium from Nov. 16-17. The invite-only virtual event will offer continuing education opportunities, industry panels, and a showcase of new products and innovations for architects, developers and designers. 

MONTREAL: Fondation Matrimoine will host its first ever Wikipedia edit-a-thon on Oct. 23 at Palais des congrès. The event will see several dozen people working together to virtually edit the pages of female Quebec artists in the online encyclopedia in an effort to better showcase their talents and legacy.

TORONTO: The Volleyball Centre, a new organization from the owners of indoor beach volleyball facility Beach Blast, has opened in Toronto. The company is currently operating out of two venues, one in Downsview Park and one at the GTA Sportsplex in Vaughn, with plans to expand. Currently, there are nine courts available for tournaments and other volleyball-related events. 

The Hive will bring its wildly popular puppy yoga program back to Toronto on select dates between Nov. 13-21. The 45-minute classes give recently adopted puppies the chance to socialize before going to their forever homes. Tickets must be purchased in advance for the classes, which take place at a studio at 213 Sterling Road.

VANCOUVER: Tickets are on sale now for the 2021 Skate Canada International, taking place Oct. 29-31 at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. The lineup in Vancouver features Canadian favorites including Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier, Kirsten Moore-Towers and Michael Marinaro, Keegan Messing, and Madeline Schizas. Ticket packages will include competitions and the exhibition gala; practices are closed to the general public.
