NATIONAL: Global event and trade show producer Clarion Events has partnered with Consero Group, a Maryland-based provider of invitation-only programs that specializes in intimate in-person and virtual events and boardroom-style roundtables for senior corporate executives. The new partnership will help fuel Clarion’s focus on meeting-based programs; it follows a previous partnership with Quartz Events that is focused on the one-to-one meeting business.
TORONTO: On the heels of the "Immersive Van Gogh" experience's success, experiential art exhibit company Lighthouse Immersive will debut its new Frida Kahlo-centric activation in 2022. "Frida: Immersive Dream" will use state-of-the-art projectors and high-quality sound systems to immerse guests in the famed Mexican artist's work. It will take over 20221 Yonge Street in Toronto from March 31 to May 29, and is also popping up in U.S. cities like Dallas, Boston, Houston, Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles throughout the spring.
Hall of Fame wrestler and Toronto native Trish Stratus will host the WWE Live Holiday Tour event on Dec. 29 at the Coca-Cola Coliseum. Tickets for the non-televised show start at $56.50 and are on sale now. Stratus, who was recently named the greatest female wrestler of all time by the WWE, will also be a judge on the next season of Canada’s Got Talent.
VANCOUVER: Just For Laughs Vancouver, formerly known as JFL NorthWest, will take place Feb. 15-27 at various venues in downtown Vancouver. The lineup includes performances from Andrew Schulz, Ronny Chieng, Nicole Byer and the cast of How Did This Get Made? Tickets are on sale now.
VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA: Capital City Comic Con, Victoria’s annual sci-fi and comic convention, is returning in 2022 after a two-year hiatus. Taking place March 25-27, the event will be held at the Victoria Convention Centre and Crystal Gardens across the street. Organizers have not yet announced any guest appearances.
