The funding will help the event management software implement a number of new developments this year, including a refreshed mobile app, new speaker management and exhibitor resource center modules, expanded customer support and more.
Clarion Events North America has promoted Mike Carlucci to executive vice president of revenue and customer delivery. In the new role, Carlucci will focus on driving revenue growth through sales effectiveness and customer engagement; he’ll serve as the primary contact for Clarion in all central operations relationships including working with venues, decorators and exhibitor service partners.
MONTREAL: The FILMHarmonic Orchestra and GFN Productions are presenting a concert of film scores at Place des Arts on March 11. The event will feature live renditions of music from iconic films like The Godfather and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and more, performed by 40 classically trained musicians and guest soprano Sarah Dufresne.
TORONTO: The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) will return in person from Aug. 19 to Sept. 5. Known as Toronto’s biggest summer event, the 142-year-old festival will take over the exhibition grounds. Last year, organizers launched a 2021 virtual experience called CNE Connected.
VANCOUVER: Brewery & The Beast will host its Vancouver edition on Aug. 7, with additional events taking place the following weeks in Victoria and Calgary. Launched in 2012, the event will bring together local chefs, restaurants and breweries for an all-you-can-eat festival centered around outdoor cooking. It will also feature live entertainment with local musical acts.
