CANADA: Tennis Canada’s 2020 Events Calendar, a New EDM Festival in Toronto, Vancouver International Wine Festival Details and More

NATIONAL: Tennis Canada has released its 2022 national event calendar. Over 70 tournaments are slated to take place from March 22 to Nov. 14, with highlights including the Saskatoon Challenger from July 17-24, the Winnipeg National Bank Challenger from July 24-31, the Greystone Challenger from Oct. 9-16 and more.

MONTREAL: The city of Montreal has announced almost $1 million of support for 43 festivals and cultural events, including local organizations in the dance, cinema, digital arts, circus and literature fields. While the list of festivals that received funding has not yet been made public, major events slated to return this summer include Jazz Fest, Just for Laughs and the Grand Prix. 

TORONTO: Decadence Festival, a new electronic music fest from the team behind Veld Music Festival, will take place at CityView from June 30 to July 2. Headliners will include Tiesto, Illenium and Above & Beyond; tickets start at $93.

Hotel X in Toronto has unveiled a new hotel suite inspired by Cirque du Soleil’s KURIOS—Cabinet of Curiosities, which is debuting at Ontario Place on April 14. The KURIOS suite will be available for overnight stays from April to July. It was curated by local designer Shai DeLuca and aims to evoke the show’s whimsical world. 

VANCOUVER: The 43rd annual Vancouver International Wine Festival takes place May 16-22 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, with additional ticketed events at various venues around the city. The gathering will highlight 101 wineries from 41 countries for a week of tastings, seminars, dinners, auctions and more.
