US: Collective Retreats’ New Head Sommelier, NVE Agency’s Three Executive New Hires, Weekly Stargazing Event in Scottsdale, and More

NATIONAL: Experiential travel company, Collective Retreats, has announced Jesse Rodriguez as the brand’s head sommelier and beverage alchemist. Rodriguez will support and innovate beverage operations across Collective Retreats’ three locations—in Vail, Colo.; Hill Country, Texas; and Governors Island, N.Y. He brings certifications as an advanced sommelier, certified wine educator (CWE), Spanish and French wine scholar, and many other positions from a host of reputable organizations, to the role. Rodriguez also has experience managing luxury resort and restaurant beverage programs across the country, including serving as the head sommelier at The French Laundry in Napa Valley, Calif.

American craft wine brand The Federalist Wines has announced the return of its Cabinet of Summer campaign, a contest offering a $10,000 reward to the fan who can create the most epic summer itinerary. Participants can apply for two positions—either the “Secretary of the Backyard” if they love spending the summer months in the comfort of their home, or the “Secretary of the Frontier” if they’re all about outdoor adventures. To apply, contestants can visit The Federalist Wines’ website to share how they would make history if chosen as “Secretary of Summer.” Applicants must also explain how they would make use of the monetary prize, including a sample summer itinerary and link to their Instagram page to show off their content creation skills. 

ATLANTA: Treehouse Studios, a photography and event space in downtown Atlanta, has launched Vintage Ventures, a vehicle rental division. There are currently three authentic and completely restored campers available to rent for parties, photo shoots, movie productions, or any other stand-out gathering calling for a bit of style and nostalgia.

LOS ANGELES: LA-based NVE Experience Agency (NVE) has announced three new executive hires—James Kyte to oversee account services as senior vice president; Michael Tonge to lead the inclusive marketing division as vice president; and Maurice Aouad to lead the agency’s new creative marketing division. The three men will strengthen NVE’s leadership team and continue to service clients with culturally relevant strategies. 

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ.: Every Friday through the end of June, ADERO Scottsdale—the only Autograph Collection destination in a certified Dark Sky Community—is hosting a stargazing event. Each week from 8-10 p.m., attendees can admire the night sky and will have the opportunity to meet the Star Dudes, a group of local astronomers who will guide guests through laser-powered constellation tours using high-tech telescopes.
