The eight-day adventure explores three diverse regions of Norway, starting in Oslo before traveling to the Western Fjords and the Lofted Islands. Highlights include a private guided tour of the new Munch Museum, a foraging experience in the Arctic, a private concert at the Trevarefabrikken, farm-to-table gourmet meals, and more. The end-to-end journey starts at $7,200 per person for groups of eight people.
LAS VEGAS: Live Nation has announced a number of adjacent shows that will accompany the highly anticipated When We Were Young Festival, which takes over the Las Vegas Festival Grounds from Oct. 22-23 and on Oct. 29. In addition to the sold-out main event—which will feature the likes of My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Dashboard Confessional, and Taking Back Sunday—additional performances will take place at House of Blues, Brooklyn Bowl, and the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms. The side shows will feature additional performances themed around indie rock, emo, and more; tickets went on sale last Friday.
LOS ANGELES: The internationally acclaimed holiday event Lightscape will take over the 127-acre Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden from Nov. 11, 2022, through Jan. 8, 2023. The after-dark, illuminated trail will span one mile and feature eye-catching artistic installations that use color and sound to create an immersive nighttime experience. The L.A. Arboretum produces Lightscape in association with Sony Music.
NAPA, CALIF.: Napa Valley resort The Meritage Resort and Spa has announced plans to renovate its event and conference venues. The redesign project, spearheaded by HBA San Francisco, will modernize the hotel's ballrooms by late 2022 and early 2023; the spaces will include a fresh color palette inspired by California’s seasonal changes. The Heritage Ballroom, which will get a fall- and winter-inspired palette of rich reds and golds, holds 1,000 or can be divided into 10 separate spaces. Meanwhile, the Carneros Ballroom, which will take on an olive green and yellow palette inspired by spring and summer, holds 800 guests and can also be divided into smaller rooms.
NEW YORK: New York’s NoMo SoHo hotel has opened the Rose Garden, a whimsical patio space surrounded by pink roses and lush greenery. The outdoor venue, open Mondays to Fridays from 4-7 p.m., offers a unique dining experience that allows guests to taste flavors from various world cultures, along with cocktails that evoke the essence of a garden. The sidewalk eatery is attached to the NoMo Kitchen, a greenhouse-like restaurant and event space that holds 200 people for receptions. Overall, the hotel has 10,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting space.
