What I do:
I handle the special corporate market and focus on closing business. I help develop the sales strategy and am the face of the property for groups. I have spent the last year handling senior catering sales executive duties while we’re without one due to the pandemic, and all group bookings for the past year.
My greatest career accomplishment:
As a sales manager at W Scottsdale, I never finished a year under 125% of my goal, which helped me with Presidents Club in 2017. In 2018, I won luxury sales integration leader for SW—Marriott Hotels and manager of the quarter.
Impressive stats:
In 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, we achieved a higher ADR at the hotel than any year prior. I sent in over 80 group and catering contracts—a responsibility I’m not normally in charge of. It resulted in over $250,000. I was the only salesperson kept on to rebuild our funnel—an honor I did not take lightly. My drive was to build business to levels allowing us to bring back furloughed talent.
What I do outside of work:
On the weekends, you can find me on one of the incredible hiking trails in Arizona or in my kayak. My cup is the most filled when I am with my best friends or in California (where I am from originally) sitting on the beach. My fiancé and I are big travelers, and you can often find us spontaneously deciding to fly or road trip to a new place with a couple days’ notice.
Favorite vacation destination:
My absolute favorite place to visit the Wailea Beach Resort in Maui—it’s the perfect place to unwind and disconnect, and they make a killer Mai Tai, too! Hawaii just has this magical feeling to it.
Favorite icebreaker line:
Tell me two truths and one lie and let me see if I can guess the lie. I love this question because people typically think of at least two very interesting things about themselves. These can lead to longer stories where you can learn a lot about a person and find ways to connect with them.
Travel hack:
Caffeine under-eye patches! Traveling always takes its toll on my skin, and these eye patches make you look and feel right as rain in the morning.
