How I got here: I have been spreading my passion for events for more than 25 years by servicing the fashion, academia, nonprofit, corporate and association industries. After spending six years at my Alma Mater, Spelman College, transforming the alumni engagement programs, I managed a conference center for Atlanta Technical College, where I served on the President's Leadership Team. At that time, I decided to open my firm iSocialExecution Inc. and concentrate on on-site event execution. My mentor, Dahlia El Gazzar, encouraged this move and also contracted iSocialX to provide practical tech education at her clients' meetings and events. I have been an Independent Planner ever since.
Specific improvement I've made: As an independent planner, I specialize in event execution, event tech strategy, and stage management, both virtually and on-site. Pioneering in 2014 as a tech evangelist and now tech whisperer with the DAHLIA+ Agency, I help educate the business events industry on the importance of how technology would impact us and how event technology would emerge and run the world. For years, I have also spoken and held one-on-ones with thousands of attendees on productivity apps, social media tips, and how to be comfortable with their personal and professional devices.
What I do outside of work: For the past 10 years, I have loved being the stage manager for TEDxAtlanta.
