What I do: I am responsible for the overall operations, revenue generation and client satisfaction for McVeigh Global Meetings and Events.
How I got here: After enjoying 15 years on the hotel side, I moved to the production and then on to the agency/third-party side of our industry. I have had the opportunity to spend time in sales and marketing, as well as in operations. My career path has helped me develop a skill set that allows me to make decisions holistically; inclusive of margins, operations and client needs.
Greatest career accomplishments: During my tenure in the office of the President with MPI Greater New York, I was able to build a board of directors that achieved the highest member satisfaction score since the surveys first began. Also, my business partner, Jeff Guberman, and I successfully integrated three well-known third parties into one in 2018. Fourth Wall Events, our first company, merged with WorldTEK Events and together acquired McVeigh Associates to form the new McVeigh Global Meetings Events.
Specific improvement I’ve made: After the merger and acquisition in 2018, we implemented a shared services model so that services like sourcing, attendee communications, air/travel management and production could be offered across different types of clients. This not only allows us to provide a variety of services to our clients but it allows our team to learn how to work with different clients and markets.
What I do outside of work: I love to spend time on my motorcycle, a Triumph Thunderbird Storm.
