The brothers behind the financial district’s J.A. Stats, Jim and Andrew Statires, launched their latest venture in South Boston last weekend. Stats Bar & Grille is a 200-seat American restaurant with a full bar and 21 high-definition televisions, ideal for after-work entertaining or business lunches when the big game is on.
The venue has exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, dark wood highboys, red upholstery, and tall windows providing an open-air view of the street. Stats includes two private event spaces with capacities of 20 and 30 that can be combined for one larger party. The central rectangular bar acts as a divider, allowing for private event space without sacrificing the social atmosphere of the TV-ringed bar. The entire space is also available for buyouts.
The Stats menu pulls inspiration from the owners’ Greek family recipes, including mainstays like chicken tenders and baked macaroni and cheese. Casual comfort food gets a twist in items like the edamame and avocado veggie burger and Buffalo calamari. Stats serves lunch and dinner daily and brunch on weekends.
Stats pours 40 beers, 12 of them on tap, and a cocktail list with specialty drinks like the cucumber mojito and pomegranate iced-tea lemonade.
